A kinetic Study of Non-isothermal Decomposition Process of [Pt(3-amino-1,2,4-triazole)2Cl2] Under Air Atmosphere

Abstract:
The thermal decomposition of dichlorobis(3-amino-1,2,4-triazole)Pt (II) complex was investigated in air atmosphere using TG-DTG-DTA. [Pt(3-amino-1,2,4-triazole)2Cl2] decomposes in two stages. The activation energies and the pre-exponential factors in the Arrhenius equations are determined for each process of decomposition by different methods. The thermodynamic functions (?H*, ?G* and ?S*) of the decomposition reactions are calculated by the activated complex theory and indicate that the process is non-spontaneous without connecting with the introduction of heat.
