Social Responsibility for Youth in Palestinian Universities " Al-Quds Open University Model"

Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the social responsibility of Youth in Palestinian universities to applying by Al-Quds Open University, studying a random class sample of (50) of the University students "students of social responsibility course" for the second semester 2017/2018. in Gaza branch. The study used a questionnaire consisting of (91) sections divided into five axes. The results indicated that the level of responsibility of the university youth was high among the male and female students. The percentage in the overall question was 76% the first axis related to the social responsibility of young people is high 83.2%, which indicates that the interest of the university youth in their society and understanding the social responsibility course. It also emphasizes the importance of teaching the course as compulsory for all students in Palestinian universities. The highest response to this theme was their commitment to respect their colleagues and teachers 92% , avoid causing harm to others 91.2% , avoid quarreling with colleagues 91.2% , maintain the system in the university 90% and had an ambition to Commitment to responsibility and applied in The future 86%. The responses on the second axis on the models of participation scored a medium percentage 60% of the total paragraphs of this axis. the most important models stand with their colleagues in times of crisis 76.8% , participation in charity in their places of residence 68.8%, In the activities that preserve the heritage and identity 66.8% , participation in the social networking sites in the anti-corruption groups 65.6%, participation in raising positive subjects about the country 63.6% and participation in seminars and workshops held by the university 60%. The results showed that the percentage of youth participation was high on the third axis, with 79.6% stating that there were many obstacles facing them and limiting their participation. The most important among them were disintegration, community disputes 94%, political division 89.6% ,economic conditions 85.2% , lack of programs 80.8%, , lack of participation in decision making 80.4%. , lack of media attention 78% and lack of incentives, 76.4%. The results showed a remarkable increase in youth expectations and suggestions for community participation, which reached 81%.This indicates that young people have a certain amount of energy they wish to in providing employ by overcoming obstacles and opportunities their own projects 98.4% , providing a system of incentives related to participation 96.8% , also interact with youth and provide them with job opportunities 93.6% ,with opportunities to participate in the activities of the university 82.8% , provide university courses urging participation 84.4% and honoring the actors, 80% .
