Abstract:
Big data is nothing but having a huge amount of data. Big data is a new technology of the world economic and societal changes .This paper is going to explain about how big data is being use full in smart farming using big data analytics. Big data analytics in agriculture depends on multiple aspects such as weather. If weather is good, it may give good crop. In this paper, a smart farming technique using genetic algorithm will be discussed. This algorithm is nothing but farmers need to be registered through android mobile app or from the desktop, having Internet connection. Cloud storage is collection of all the information which is in large amount .Cloud storage is used to store details of farmers and weather data. The weather conditions are obtained from the farmers location using Internet and GPS for future weather forecast. This technology may be useful to the farmers to know about the future weather conditions. In this method it also sends weather and crop damage alerts through sms and email to the farmers. A number of sensing technologies are also used to develop the smart farming .Some of them are location Sensors, optical sensors, electrochemical and mechanical sensors. Location sensors are nothing but gps integrated circuits are used to triangulate a position i.e to know the latitude and longitude of the position. Optical sensors uses light to measure soil properties. Electrochemical sensors are to know soil nutrient levels and ph of soil. Mechanical sensors will find the force that is used by the roots in water absorption .These helps in a good development for smart farming through internet of and cloud computing.
