Abstract:
Automatic Grass Cutting Robot is an obstacle avoiding robot. It avoids the hurdles and cut the grass without the help of human interference. This robot runs on DC supply which uses 12V batteries to power the motors as well as the grass cutter(motor). This robot is interfaced by micro-controller (ARDUINO MEGA AT 2560) that controls the working of all the motors and sensors. This robot works on closed loop system where the ultrasonic sensors are used as feedback. ATMEGA 2560 microcontroller is used to change the direction of the vehicle when obstacles are near to the vehicle. We are using the Ultrasonic sensor to detect the height of the grass so that the grass cutting motor will run only in the field of the lawn area therefore it avoids the damage to the object, human and animal.
