Abstract:
The latest trend in the renewable energy sources gives a lot of importance to Photovoltaic Systems. As the PV panel is made with the semiconductors, it is completely static and free from movable parts so it has a less maintenance costs. A grid connected model and a basic equivalent circuit is proposed in this paper. It consists of different Simulink models, which shows the different characteristics of the solar cell with different temperatures. The effects of irradiance, temperature conditions are taken into account and the PV and IV characteristics are simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
