Chukwuemeka Abstract: This study was carried out to investigate the place of extension services and implementation of third National Fadama Development Programme Anambra State, Nigeria. The study was conceived out of the perennial food shortage in Anambra State and Nigeria at large. The non-purposive sampling technique was used for the study. Survey research method was adopted and questionnaires were administered to 396 Fadama beneficiaries and Fadama staff in the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, Awka. Data obtained was analyzed using simple percentage, mean, standard deviation while ANOVA and regression analysis were used for hypotheses testing. The study revealed that lack of skilled manpower for extension services have significant effect on the implementation of the FADAMA programme. In the light of the foregoing findings, the researchers recommend the skilled technical staff should be recruited and monitored to ensure the implementation of the FADAMA programme achieve the intended objectives.
