Abstract:
The study aims to identify the potentials of the state of Sennar, the systems of the productive agricultural sector, and the problems that hinder its development. And that the importance of this sector lies in the role expected of it as a productive sector that contributes to providing food and raw materials for many industries, and contributing to the country's export crops, and thus has the ability to absorb large human resources by providing job opportunities, and can supply the state treasury with financial revenues and thus increase its income and increase Its economic growth rates. The sector's problems are summarized in the fact that it is still practicing in a traditional way, by relying on natural conditions away from the use of technical and technical improvements. The study followed the historical geographic approach, the analytical descriptive method, and the quantitative approach to analysis and measurement. In collecting information, it relied on some books, reports and secondary information from government offices, and concluded that there are many problems encountered in this sector from poor funding and the lack of use of modern agricultural methods. Recommendations were made to give this sector the necessary attention.
