Abstract:
Geographical names, in particular, toponyms, are part of the language dictionary and are subject to the laws of language. At the same time, place names are closely connected with the history of society. Giving names to places is primarily determined by the needs of a particular stage of society. This article describes the features, relevance of toponyms and a comparative analysis of Uzbek and English toponyms.
