The situation was worsened by the appearance of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. Since the virus was reported in Nigeria, several policy measures have been put in place to cushion the effect of the pandemic both on public health, and on the economy in general. This paper reviews the effectiveness of these policies in combatting the pandemic, and their sustainability on the economic situation of Nigeria.
