Derese Simegnew Alehegn

Abstract:
Organizations are established to achieve a certain objectives and goals. In order to run the organization effectively and to arrive at its established goals and objectives, it needs the availability of resources; money, machine, material and personnel. Among these resources human resource is the most fundamental and decisive factor to promote change and to achieve organization`s goals and objectives. Training is a systematic development of knowledge, skills and attitudes required by employees to perform adequately on a given task or jobs. Development is a broad, ongoing multi-faceted set of activities (training activities among them) to bring someone or an organization up to another threshold of performance, often to perform some job or new role in the future. Injibara prison administration office is one of the three prisoners' administrations in the Awi Nationality Administrative Zone. The office was established in 1985 E.C. During its establishment there were 26 (male19 and female 7) military servants. In the past ten years the office started a new program called team development management program. The program focuses on employee training and development. This is the strong performance of the office in developing employees` capacity. The real contribution of the team development management training is not measured. If some study is taken on this program the weakness and strengths will be identified and corrections will be taken. But nothing has done in assessing the program. Thus my intention is to find out contribution of this program on the effectiveness of employee performance. This research will clearly show the strengths and weakness of the program and the contributions of the program on employees' effectiveness.
