Abstract:
In this study, the specific activity of natural radionuclides 226Ra, 232Th, 40K , and technogenic radionuclides 137Cs in soil layers using the gamma spectrometry method was studied. The results showed that natural radionuclides 226Ra and 232Th and technogenic radionuclides 137Cs mainly have a high specific activity on the surface of 1-2 cm of soil. The lower layer of 15-20 cm activity was 20-30% lower than that of these radionuclides, and radionuclides undergo horizontal migration. It was found that the specific activity of the 40K isotope reaches a maximum value of 10-15 cm in the soil layer, and this radionuclide is mainly redistributed in the soil as a result of vertical migration.
