Abstract:
Laparoschisis is the most common abdominal wall defect after omphalocele. It can be fatal or be responsible for multiple fetal or neonatal complications. It is a rare pathology but of easy antenatal diagnosis, when the antenatal ultrasound follow-up is well carried out, We report a case of laparoschisis diagnosed late in antenatal, in a primiparous patient who consults for abdomino-pelvic pain type uterine contractions on a pregnancy of 35 weeks of amenorrhea + 3 days not followed, the diagnosis of the threat of premature delivery was retained; obstetrical ultrasound revealed an active monofetal pregnancy with the presence of laparoschisis associated with intrauterine growth retardation; without other echographically detectable malformations, the evolution was marked by the occurrence of a spontaneous rupture of the water supply with a rapid evolution of labor and vaginal delivery of the newborn immediately taken care of by neonatologists and nurses. pediatric surgeons
