Abstract:
Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous inflammatory disease characterized by a very diverse clinical presentation and course. The etiology of sarcoidosis remains uncertain, but leads to a cytokine disorder, in particular an increase in the secretion of TNF?, which participates in the formation of granulomas in various organs. The peritoneal and ovarian localization of sarcoidosis remains rare in gynecology, differential diagnosis with ovarian cancer associated with ascites due to a close clinical presentation. We report the case of a 57-year-old patient, treated for ascites and deterioration of general condition, in whom scanning by CT revealed an aspect of peritoneal carcinomatosis, which seemed to be at the starting point of the ovaries associated with a thickening digestive .Histological analysis after mini laparotomy revealed a granulomatosis of the sarcoidosis type. Clinical improvement was quickly obtained with corticosteroid therapy. The mode of revelation of this pathology is compared to that of other cases reported in the literature.
