Abstract:
Introduction: Sacrococcygeal teratoma is a rare congenital childhood disease, most often benign, which mainly affects female children with a high potential for malignant transformation in the absence of treatment. This tumor is discovered during pregnancy by morphological ultrasound even by fetal MRI but confirmed at birth. Methods-Results: we are going through this study to report an experience of the sacrococcygeal teratoma. This is an 18-year-old woman, with no notable pathological history, who was transferred from the regional hospital for supported of labriouex vaginal delivery complicated by breech retention, negative cardiac activity, with discovery of an huge sacrococcygeal mass. Conclusion: Sacrococcygeal teratomas are unusual in Morocco, but with serious consequences, especially fetal and maternal. The diagnosis must be made primarily antenatal, the delivery type in principle is a scheduled cesarean section, especially for type I and II and surgical excision must be done directly after birth to avoid malignant transformation.
