Abstract:
We describe a case of uterine torsion that occurred in an asymptomatic 32-year-old woman. The diagnosis was made during cesarean section and detorsion was performed to the left with an anterior incision. Uterine torsion is a rare obstetric complication that usually occurs in the third trimester and can have serious consequences for both the mother and the child. We performed a review of the literature regarding the signs and management options of this rare entity.
