Abstract:
The importance of this study lies in identifying the effectiveness of public relations in developing the performance of service institutions in general and the Health Insurance Authority of Sinnar State in particular; to identify the role played by public relations in spreading health awareness and health services inside and outside the Health Insurance Authority of Sinnar State. The problem of the study was the weakness of the services provided by the Public Relations Department of the Health Insurance Authority in Sinnar State. This study attempts to find out how effective public relations are in developing the performance of service institutions in Sinnar State. This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of public relations in developing the performance of the Health Insurance Authority in the state of Sinnar and spreading health and service awareness of the Authority. The study used the descriptive and the analytical method, and the questionnaire was also used. The study reached a number of findings, the most important of which are: The study showed that the Public Relations Department of Health Insurance in Sinnar State worked to provide awareness programs to the public about the services it provides through various means of communication, the public relations programs of the Health Insurance Authority succeeded in educating the public through the media and worked to gain the confidence of the public and convince them to receive health services through the health insurance card. The study recommends the following that the Public Relations Department develop its work and facilitating the services it provides to the public at the Health Insurance Authority in Sinnar, and provide the Public Relations Department with modern computers and update internet services, the need to organize training courses for public relations workers in how to bear the pressure of work and courses in etiquette and the art of dealing with the public should be delivered.
