Abstract:
Abstract: The arts of the manuscript book and Islamic manuscripts are among the important Islamic arts, which included many artistic branches of calligraphy, decoration, gilding and binding, and the emergence of these arts in the beginning was on the manuscripts of the Qur’an as it was the first basis for the arts of the book, and it is natural that writing the Qur’an is the first field in which he worked Decorators and cultists, as the Noble Qur’an assumed a prominent position and role in the lives of Muslims; Being the curriculum and the basis upon which all aspects of life are based, the study followed the historical-analytical method, and the study reached the most important results, the most important of which is the great development of fonts by famous calligraphers, as well as new fonts. Moreover, entered a new stage of its development, which is the stage of form and lexicon. The study recommends detailed scientific studies of the arts of the manuscript book and Islamic manuscripts in the Umayyad and Abbasid eras, which represents one of the important eras in Islamic history.
