The article uses a multivariable regression model to evaluate the impact of CO2 on economic growth and development as well as foreign direct investment in Morocco from 1986 to 2021. The results show that the research results show the impact of CO2 on economic growth and foreign direct investment. This result indicates that countries' economic growth is affected not only by the level of FDI investment in the current year but also by FDI and CO2 emissions in the previous year. This result has many implications for policymaking related to the use of low-CO2 energy technologies for the economic development of countries.
