Abstract:
: According to WHO, the use of the contraceptive method has clearly more advantages for health than for risks. Nevertheless, the use of contraceptive methods remains a public health problem; This study aims to know the opinion of religious leaders on the use of the method. During the survey of 100 religious leaders in the city of BUTA; almost all of our respondents acknowledged the existence of contraceptive methods, although most do not have enough information on the subject. However, they unanimously admit that religion does not and will never allow the use of this method, which they say is unbiblical. Thus, the present research on the basis of exploratory studies, and possibly accompanied by studies of promotion of behavioral change, will make it possible to grasp the mythical conception granted by religious leaders on the question of the use of contraceptive methods by Christians in the town of BUTA as well as taking up the challenge on the use of contraceptives aimed at improving public health in the state of Bas-Uèle in general and the town of BUTA in particular.
