Abstract:
The traditional treatment of forearm fractures by bandaging is responsible for serious acute ischemic complications. Patients who have benefited from this treatment often consult late at the gangrene stage with symptoms of sepsis, jeopardizing the functional and vital prognosis of the patient. Amputation of the limb in a viable zone is the only treatment option available and it must be done urgently. Les patients consultent souvent tardivement au stade de gangrène avec un tableau de sepsis associé, mettant en jeu le pronostic fonctionnel et vital du patient. L'amputation du membre en zone saine est la seule alternative thérapeutique et elle doit se faire en urgence. Mais malheureusement même lorsqu'elle est réalisée, l'évolution peut être marquée dans certains cas comme le nôtre par le décès du patient par choc septique.
