Abstract:
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune multifactorial disease whose diagnosis is based on a bundle of clinical and biological arguments. Native DNA antibodies are the most specific biological stigma of lupus. The objective of our work is to determine the prevalence of native anti-DNA antibodies in 35 Moroccan lupus patients. Materials and methods: This are a cross-sectional study conducted in the Immunology Department at the Central Laboratory of Medical Analyses, CHU Hassan II in Fez over a period of 18 months. Results: Thirty-five patients were included. The average age was 38.85 years 16.5 with female predominance (77.1%). The prevalence of native anti-DNA antibodies was 42.8%. Conclusion: Our study showed a high prevalence of native anti-DNA antibodies in lupus patients, which supports their crucial interest in this disease.
