Abstract:
: This study was simply based on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the students of the BUMBU Institute in the fight against covid-19. Recall that this secondary school is located in the BABADE commune, LONGA district in the city of Buta. The methodological approach adopted in this study is of the transversal type and the techniques used such as: the collection of data through the survey sheets and the interview guide as well as direct observation. The study revealed that the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices of the students of this institution is very low in relation to the fight against covid-19, which would influence a strong spread of covid-19 since this school is the most popular in the region. This study also explains the main causes of this problem which is at several levels and which would be characterized by aspects such as: the relaxation of the observance of barrier measures in the community, especially in high-risk environments, Weak application of standard measures in health facilities; non-operational entry and control points; very low funding for activities to combat Covid-19, demotivation of the actors involved; low community awareness and engagement on the risk of covid-19, misperceptions, rumours, and misconceptions.
