Abstract:
: This scientific research aims to learn about the straying of domestic animals and its urban-rural environmental consequences in the municipality of Nganza from 20121 to 2022. This perspective was carried out in 30 pastoral households. Our research shows that the species of domestic animals likely to stray in urban-rural environments are: goats, pigs, sheep, dogs, ducks, hens. And these animals are mainly responsible for the devastation of the crops around the various households, including: corn, cassava, sweet potato, cowpea, amaranth, sorrel, okra ... Consequently, the means most used for the protection of the cultures of house consist in the spreading of the excrements of goat and pig on these cultures, which makes it possible to move away these predatory animals, although the undesirable smell of the excrements solved with water remains one of the major environmental pollutants. On the other side, another solution remains to be considered: the prohibition of the straying of domestic animals, which is the best preventive measure for the protection of home crops and the environment of local pastoral households. This solution requires a heavy involvement of political and administrative authorities, public health, environment and to name a few.
