Abstract:
Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is one of the most frequent medical-surgical emergencies in gynecology. The fallopian tube is the usual site of ectopic pregnancy (93% of cases) (1). The ovary occupies second place (1). Ovarian pregnancy represents 3% of all ectopic pregnancies (2). It occurs in 1/2100 to 1/7000 pregnancies (21). Ovarian pregnancy (OP) is a variety of pregnancy where the ovary is the site of implantation (1). Compared to other EPs, other forms of revelation of OP have been reported as OP can evolve until the 2nd trimester, even until term (4). The twisted nature of ovarian pregnancy makes it exceptional, it presents some semiotic particularities compared to other EPs, especially by its syncopal nature. The objectives of this work are to analyze the determining factors of OP, to establish the semiological, etiological, histopathological and evolutionary particularities of this ectopic pregnancy, also the diagnostic criteria and therapeutic of this particular pathology.
