The onset of acute pancreatitis postpartum or during pregnancy is rare. Biliary pathology is by far the most common cause, followed by hypertriglyceridemia. Acute pancreatitis associated with pregnancy-induced hypertension is a rare situation with an unfavorable outcome. Its prognosis depends on the speed of diagnosis. We report a case of serious acute pancreatitis secondary to preeclampsia occurring two weeks after delivery in a 24-year-old patient with a good outcome.
