Abstract:
Introduction: Uterine smooth muscle tumors with uncertain malignant potential present complexity in their histological diagnosis; their uncertain evolution towards malignancy, and their management. Our work aims to present two observations of uterine fibroma associated with a smooth muscle tumor of uncertain malignancy potential. Observation 1: Mrs. X, 46 years old, multiparous. Admitted with a myomatous uterus revealed by abdominal pain. She underwent a hysterectomy. The anatomopathological study concluded in a smooth muscle tumor with uncertain malignancy potential. Good clinical and radiological outcomes. Observation 2: Mrs. Y, 28 years old, multiparous, was operated on for valve disease at the age of 8 years. Admitted for a myomatous uterus revealed by metrorrhagia with pelvic pain. She underwent a hysterectomy. The anatomopathological study identifies leiomyoma. The immunohistochemical complement was concluded to be a smooth muscle tumor of uncertain malignancy potential. In the sixth month, she presents pulmonary metastasis with local recurrence.
