The need to study the child and its major characteristics, the need for adequate school facilities such as playground equipment, the need to recruit only the professionally qualified caregivers to handle children and the pre-schools and the need for a developed information and libraries service amongst other should be the priority of all stakeholders in the 21st century. It is against this background that Early childhood Education and challenges of the 21st century has been chosen as the focus of this paper. The paper is descriptive analysis of problem areas in early childhood education and suggestions that can be implemented to reduce the challenges.
