Abstract:
The dermatofibrosarcoma (DFS) protuberans described by Darier and Ferrand in 1924, is a soft tissue tumor with local aggressiveness, characterized by a slow evolution, high recurrence and the rarity of its metastases. It is the most frequent cutaneous sarcoma. The DFS is a rare tumor for which the prognosis and the risk of progression are closely linked to the quality of the initial treatment. The diagnosis is often delayed due to its slow and asymptomatic evolution. Improving the prognosis requires early and codified multidisciplinary medical care. The collaboration of surgeons and pathologists is invaluable at all stages of treatment. Wide and deep surgical excision is the preferred treatment. Through this series, we report the experience of the plastic and repair surgery team of the Meknes Military Hospital, by a retrospective study of 15 reported cases of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, over 4 years (2015-2019)
