Abstract:
This study aims to descripting the geopolitical impacts of the pipeline project-Nordstrom-2 on European energy security, through analyzing theoretical conceptual contents of geopolitical, energy geopolitical, energy security, European energy security, and the definition of nordstream2 project. The significance of study highlight through descripts energy security of Russia as producer agent, and European Union states as consumer agent, and to the transit agent states like Ukraine and Poland. The basic question of the study is: what is geopolitical impact of the pipeline project-nordstream-2 on European energy security? Beside other lateral includes: what are European strategic components to grantee energy security? What is distinguishing features the energy relations between Russia - European states on the shadow of critical challenges faced Russian energy gain -Gazprom? What are impacts of nordstream-2 on traditional transit states like Ukraine & Poland? The study depends on integrated methodologies includes: descriptive analysis, cause study, and comparative -content analysis, the study reached specific conclusions highlight: the Nord stream-2 project when completed was deprived the traditional transit states Ukraine, Poland and others from transit fee, besides it makes Russian threaten the European independent. Also the pipelines projects create prolong dependence between Exporters and importers states. Also the study has concluding highlights: there are opportunities to alleviate geopolitical impacts of nordstream-2 on European energy security through rationale policies, arrangements taken in internal European state members and with their external partners.
