Abstract:
Gestational trophoblastic tumors (GTT) are the malignant forms of gestational trophoblastic diseases. We report a retrospective series of 44 cases of GTT collected in the department of obstetrics gynecology I of CHU Hassan II Fez, during a period of 4 years from January 2018 to December 2021. Results: The average age was 31.5 years. The causal pregnancy was in 73% of cases a molar pregnancy. The extension work-up carried out in our patients revealed pulmonary metastases in 19 cases and vaginal metastases in 1 case. Six of our patients underwent hysterectomy. 70% of our patients were treated with methotrexate-based monochemotherapy. Multidrug therapy was initiated in 10 patients. All our patients had clinical and biological monitoring, before each chemotherapy session; then monthly after negativation every month, up to 12 months in case of good prognosis GTT, and up to 18 months in case of poor prognosis GTT. One case of death was reported? due to a complication to the multidrug therapy such as severe toxidermia. This study allowed us to analyse the good follow-up of the patients, the early diagnosis of GTT especially in case of mole follow-up and especially the prognosis of the patients after the treatment and the end of the surveillance.
