Abstract:
: Abnormalities of the face and cervical region are important to recognize. They may reflect more serious associated pathology, enabling parents to prepare for the neonatal management of their child. We report the case of a 48-year-old female patient, who was admitted to the emergency ward of the Hassan II University Hospital in Fes for treatment of respiratory distress following a significant increase in abdominal volume in an unattended pregnancy of 27 days gestation. Obstetrical ultrasound revealed a fetal cervical mass with significant hydramnios.
