They may reflect more serious associated pathology, enabling parents to prepare for the neonatal management of their child. We report the case of a 48-year-old female patient, who was admitted to the emergency ward of the Hassan II University Hospital in Fes for treatment of respiratory distress following a significant increase in abdominal volume in an unattended pregnancy of 27 days gestation. Obstetrical ultrasound revealed a fetal cervical mass with significant hydramnios.
