Abstract:
Metaplastic breast cancer is a rare entity. A rare subtype (less than 1% of invasive breast cancers) and aggressive form of invasive breast carcinoma, characterized by rapid growth, a relatively large tumor, and a tendency to metastasize to distant organs. In this study, we report on 5 patients diagnosed with metaplastic carcinoma of the breast in our department. Through this case study and a literature review, the anatomoclinical, radiological, therapeutic, and evolutionary characteristics will be discussed.
