Abstract:
This article discusses the main methods of linear regression in mathematical statistics. Linear regression is one of the fundamental tools of data analysis and is widely used in various fields ranging from economics and finance to medicine and sociology. The article describes in detail the basic concepts of linear regression, including the model, parameter estimates, hypothesis testing, model selection and interpretation of the results. Practical examples of using linear regression methods on real data are also presented.
