Abstract:
The effect of working remotely from the comfort of your environment depends on persons or employees preferences, company culture including effective remote work practices. Organizations that prioritize clear communication, collaboration tools, and well-being support can create a successful remote work environment for a productive and healthy workforce. This study is based on two theories namely expectancy and self-determination theory. In conclusion, remote work gives workers greater freedom and flexibility, which improves work-life balance and boosts output. Additionally, it shortens commutes, which lowers stress and fosters a calmer workplace. Based on the conclusion, a recommendation was made, stating that staff members ought to set aside time for work, establish a separate workspace, stick to a schedule, communicate clearly, plan breaks, and keep up social ties.
