Abstract:
: Breast and ovarian cancer are significant public health issues. Patients carrying a mutation in the Breast Cancer 1 or 2 (BRCA) gene have a hereditary predisposition to breast and ovarian cancers. Thus, the risk of breast cancer increases as early as the age of 30 to 40 in cases of BRCA1 mutation and from 40 to 50 for patients with a BRCA2 mutation. Consequently, prevention is essential, and this involves risk stratification through oncogenetic consultations. In this retrospective study, we will detail the epidemiological and tumoral profiles of five patients treated in our department for synchronous breast and ovarian cancer between 2019 and 2022.
