Abstract:
The transition to renewable energy is crucial in addressing the pressing challenges of climate change, energy security, and economic sustainability. This article explores the significance of renewable energy sources-including solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, and geothermal-highlighting their environmental benefits in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting economic growth through job creation, and enhancing energy security by diversifying energy supplies. Additionally, the social implications of renewable energy, such as improved public health and access to clean energy in underserved communities, are examined. Despite the positive impacts, the sector faces challenges, including intermittency, infrastructure requirements, and policy barriers. The findings emphasize that prioritizing renewable energy is essential for fostering a sustainable future, making it not just an alternative, but a necessary component of global efforts to combat climate change and promote resilience [3-4].
