Diversity management is one of the most critical factors in determining organizational success, however, the extent to which banks in Delta State prepare to handle diversity, especially as it has to do with culture is still relatively unknown, hence necessitating this study to examine the role of workplace diversity in shaping employee affective commitment in selected banks in Delta State. This study used a descriptive survey design. The research was conducted in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, Nigeria. The study's population comprised all workers of Deposit Money Banks in the studied area. A non-probability purposive sampling strategy was employed to choose sixteen banks with branches in Asaba, Delta State. A total of 353 employees were recorded from the sixteen referenced banks of which all the population were studied. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire which was both tested for validity and reliability using appropriate test techniques. The collected data were analysed using descriptive (frequencies, percentages, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Factor Analysis, T-test Statistics, and the Linear Regression model) and hypothesis was tested at a 5% level of significance. The result revealed that the combined influence of the independent variable in the model explains 0.860 or 86.0% of the variability in employee affective commitment. The t-test value of cultural diversity is significant was also significant at .05, therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the study concluded that cultural diversity has a significant influence on employee commitment in banks in Delta State. AMog others, it was recommended that priority should be given to employing competent staff from diverse cultures by the management of the banks as this will make for integration of different ideas from various cultural perspectives which will make the workplace a much more engaging and fun place to be, hence positively influencing the commitment level of employees.
