Abstract:
Monitoring or supervision is a technique that makes the best use of IT resources to obtain information on the state of networks and their components. This data will then be processed and displayed in order to highlight possible problems. Supervision can resolve problems automatically or otherwise notify administrators via an alert system (email or SMS for example). Several actions are thus carried out: Data acquisition, analysis, then visualization and reaction. Such a process is carried out at several levels of a machine park: At the interconnection level (Network), at the level of the machine itself (System) and at the level of the services offered by this machine (Applications) while the cluster is a set of independent servers that work together to increase the availability of services and applications on a computer network. Services, particularly on the Internet, require an increase equivalent to the growing number of users using them; To ensure this increase and guarantee availability of these services, several methods were possible, including updating the hardware architecture in order to increase the processing power of the machine, increasing the number of computers running the service in using a process for balancing the workload.
