Abstract:
Para ovarian cysts come from the mesothelium of the broad ligament in 68% of cases, from the remains of the para mesonephric duct in 30% of cases and from the remains of the mesonephric duct in the remaining 2% of cases like the case of our patient. Para ovarian cysts have been reported in women of all age groups, from newborn to menopause, although the reported incidence is higher in women of childbearing age. The Wolffian cyst of the round ligament of our patient was discovered during an emergency laparotomy for clinical and para clinical suspicion of torsion of the cyst.
