Abstract:
Marine tourism, encompassing activities such as yachting, sailing, and coastal exploration, visitor attractions, photography, swimming and beach activities plays a crucial role in the development and well-being of local communities. This study investigates the categories and positive impacts of marine tourism, focusing on economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Economically, the main findings of this study were generating revenue, creating jobs, and Infrastructure development. Socially, it led into cultural preservation and revitalization and preserve maritime heritage. Environmentally, maritime tourism supports marine conservation efforts, encourages sustainable practices, and raises awareness about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems. These findings emphasize the potential of marine tourism as a tool for sustainable development in coastal communities. Through the analysis of case studies and existing literature, this research demonstrates the multifaceted benefits of maritime tourism and its potential to foster sustainable development and coastal communities.
