Abstract:
:Uterine malformations of the unicornuate uterus with rudimentary horn are due to an anomaly in the development of Müllerian ducts. Unicornuate uteri fall under Class II in the American Fertility Society's classification of Müllerian anomalies [1]. Here, we describe the case of a patient who sought emergency care for a full-term pregnancy in labor. This pregnancy, which had never been monitored, underwent a cesarean section due to irregular presentation, along with rupture of the amniotic sac exceeding 24 hours. Upon exploration, a unicornuate uterus with a non-communicating rudimentary horn was discovered. The course of the pregnancy was uneventful according to the patient, and there was a good postpartum recovery after the cesarean section.
