Abstract:
: Cardiac tumors are rare. Their incidence is based on old autopsies is calculated at 0.02%. Most are benign and found in children under 1 year of age. Rhabdomyomas are by far the most frequent, followed by fibromas, intrapericardial teratomas, myxomas and hemangiomas. The increasing use of ultrasound, and the integration of heart morphology sections of the heart in the first trimester have contributed to their earlier diagnosis, with greater sensitivity. We report the case of a 29-year-old patient who consulted our clinic in the third trimester of pregnancy with the discovery of a fetal cardiac tumor.
