Abstract:
Pregnancy on a caesarean section scar is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy which may jeopardise the patient's vital and functional prognosis due to the risk of massive haemorrhage or premature uterine rupture. We report here the case of a 33 year old patient with no particular medical history, 3rd operation, 2nd pare, carrying a doubly scarred uterus. Thanks to endovaginal ultrasound, the diagnosis was made early and treatment was concervative. Through this observation and in the light of a review of the literature, we will discuss the diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of this rare entity, knowledge of which by practitioners can improve the prognosis.
