Abstract:
Phyllodes sarcomas of the breast are rare tumors and represent less than 1% of tumors in breast malignancies. Their clinical and radiological characteristics are those of benign tumors, and only rapid tumor growth can suggest the diagnosis. The basis of their treatment is surgery and radiotherapy, with a good prognosis. This is a case report of a teenager aged 16-years who presented with a mass in her left breast. The diagnosis of a phyllodes sarcoma was retained after assessment and histology. The treatment consisted of a mastectomy and axillary dissection. followed by radiotherapy with a favorable outcome
