Abstract:
This research article explores the effectiveness of utilizing sequencing cards in enhancing the procedure text writing skills of Junior high school students. This quasi-experimental design was conducted in a Junior high school in Lumajang with 9th grade learners as the participants consist of the control group (Class IX-A) and the experimental group (Class IX-B). Posttest was administered, and normality test of the data was done through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The analysis, employing independent sample t-test, revealed a significant difference (p = 0.016) between the groups. It was less than 0.05, rejecting the null hypothesis, meaning that suggested that the use of sequencing cards positively influences the students' procedure text writing achievement at Junior high school. It is suggested that the English teachers use sequencing cards as media to teach English, especially in teaching procedure text writing.
