Abstract:
Synchronous endometrial and ovarian carcinoma is a rare case, but it accounts for 50-70% of all synchronous tumors of the female reproductive tract [1]. It is important to separate synchronous carcinomas, which are in principle in the early stage, from metastatic disease, which will be in the advanced phase, with different management and prognosis. In the past, the pathological criteria of Ulbright and Roth were used to distinguish synchronous primary tumors from metastases based primarily on histological morphological criteria [2]. Currently, molecular biology, with the recent development of sequencing techniques, makes it possible to define clonal strains that allow at certain levels to differentiate between primary and metastatic tumors. Reporting a rare case of a young patient of 37 years old, she was diagnosed with endometrial and ovarian cancer simultaneously and adequate surgical management was performed.
