Abstract:
Intratesticular adrenal inclusions (ISIT) are benign tumors made up of remnants of ectopic adrenal cells that enlarge under the effect of chronically elevated ACTH levels, most often in patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). This is what we illustrate through this observation of a 10-year-old child who was followed since birth for anomaly of sexual differentiation due to congenital adrenal hyperplasia by 11? hydroxylase block with 46XY karyotype. Recently admitted to the emergency room for treatment of decompensation of his adrenal insufficiency in an infectious context, the clinical examination showed an increase in testicular volume bilaterally and the scrotal ultrasound came back in favor of an intra-adrenal inclusion. Testicular Through this case we want to highlight the great interest of systematic ultrasound monitoring in boys followed for CAH in order to detect ISIT, this makes it possible to introduce the inhibiting treatment early, to improve the prognosis.
