The size of the defect and the severity of associated anomalies are determinants of overall morbidity and mortality. Prenatal screening and diagnosis of associated anomalies play a crucial role in appropriate management. The aim of this article is to review antenatal diagnostic strategies and treatment options for omphalocele, using a case report from our Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
