Abstract:
Congenital factor V deficiency is a rare coagulation abnormality, first described by Owren in 1947 and known as parahemophilia . The hemorrhagic signs are of variable severity : most commonly mucosal bleeding , abnormal uterine bleeding in adolescents that can alter fertility , and engage the vital prognosis , and delivery hemorrhage. The dosage of factor V is carried out as a second intention in the face of an prolongation of the PT and aPTT , it is always necessary to eliminate an acquired cause. We report the case of a pregnant woman who was referred to us for a prolongated PT and aPTT with the discovery of a collapsed factor V at 38 weeks of gestation . Her management was ensured through collaboration between a the critical care physician , the obstetrician, and neonatologist.
