Abstract:
The study was intended to determine the effect of transformational leadership and knowledge management on the sustainable performance of rural banks. The population of the research is the managers of eight (8) rural banks in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, and the researchers used the total population. Purposive sampling was employed in the research and a survey questionnaire to collect information for the study. The analytical tool used in the research is the Spearman Rho Test. The results indicate that transformational leadership in terms of intellectual stimulation and individual consideration and knowledge management in terms of knowledge integration have positive and significant effects on the sustainable performance of rural banks. However, idealized influence, inspirational motivation, knowledge utilization, and knowledge acquisition have no effect on sustainable performance. The research implies that it is important for an organization to increase sustainable performance through transformational leadership style and knowledge integration.
